Normally in Scott’s Law I take some time to discuss and dissect legal news and updates that I hope will be timely, informative and useful to my clients and wider circle of readers.

However this edition of my newsletter is a bit different. This month I would like to talk about my own firm, and share some exciting news with you.

As at 1 April 2019, Neil Scott Lawyers will be joining forces with Alyssa Antcliffe, the Principal of Antcliffes, to form the merged law firm Antcliffe : Scott.

Our aim is to create a firm that can provide our clients with a more extensive and comprehensive range of services, and an assurance of depth and continuity of service at all times.

Who is Alyssa Antcliffe?

Alyssa Antcliffe is a long time professional colleague and friend. With over 17 years of legal experience, she brings considerable expertise and a well-seasoned perspective to the merged firm. Apart from being an experienced dispute resolution lawyer, Alyssa has particular interest and expertise in intellectual property law. Some of you already know Allyssa, because I have introduced you to her for her expertise in these areas.

How will this merger affect my clients?

This merger will not materially impact my working relationship with you – except, I hope, to make it better. I will remain the Principal responsible for your legal matters and look forward to continuing my work with you in the same professional manner. However, you will also have Alyssa’s expertise and experience readily available, as part of the same firm.

What legal services will Antcliffe Scott provide?

Through the combined expertise of Alyssa and myself, Antcliffe : Scott will provide a range of Business Law services, with particular focus on:

  • Mining and Resources Law
  • Intellectual Property
  • Commercial Property
  • Corporate Law
  • Property Law
  • Dispute Resolution
